Heart Art! Our hearts from folk artist Pam Dyer-Walters have been very successful. They make a wonderful gift or a unique touch to your home. A heart sitting on top an old spindle or inside an old frame or mounted on an old architectural piece, we call it "old parts - new hearts. They are a great collectible.
Come Join the Silver Star Hookers! Our rug hooking classes allow you to make a small project with a pre-set kit. You can pick from our wonderful choices of wool to make your own project. Come join us...you will love it.
Diane Allison Game Boards - Charmed by left behind handprints and their untold stories, she signs her own work with a paint drenched handprint on the back of each board. Diane makes her boards high in the Appalachian mountains where she lives with her family, and was first inspired by her love of quilt making and design. Nature supplies her color palette and many designs date from the 1800s. Each board is painstakingly crafted through a nine-step process where drawing, layers of paint, multiple sandings and a finishing rub result in a lush texture. Just this year, Diane has decided to hang up her paints and retire from the boards...which means her pieces will become more of a collectible. We have five boards and will not be able to buy anymore.

"A star is was born" - Silver Star that is...five years ago four ladies joined together to form Silver Star. We all had a talent that we each brought to this venture. Susan & Jackie had filled their homes with primitive antiques and Elaine & Lyn had been styling hair together for over 17 years. Sounds like a strange mix, but we all wanted to have a great place to show our talents so Silver Star was born. Elaine & Lynn knew their craft but Susan & Jackie definitely lacked retail experience (we proved that when we jammed our cash register drawer with a tube of lipstick), with Susan's gift of gab and Jackie's obsession with the numbers, we have came a long way. We have all grown together in building a wonderful place to shop, get your hair done and comfort the sole with all of our customers who have become our friends.This birthday tribute is to all of our customers who have supported us and we want to continue to provide you the best of the best in year number six......... .............................
